Project planning and controlling
Defining and planning project tasks (including priorities and time estimations), planning resources and monitoring project activities. Project performance reporting and new requirements capture.
Being in front of a group of people, I soon realized that this is not about objectives and documentation. What is important is to focus on people as the basis of your own work as a manager, trying to get a team motivated enough, with talent and with expertise.
Leading a team requires to develop its members, manage their motivation, make a correct supervision and support, and manage talent to enhance project performance. The real challenge is to reach people through tasks, and not vice versa.
Usually I do a direct dialogue with the client, on behalf of my organization and my team. I try to make a regular follow-up work, based on collaboration and open communication that encourages trust and synergy.
Quality Assurance and Scope Management
I take responsibility for the deliverables achieved and that they meet the requirements originally agreed. I also assume responsibility for meeting the schedule plan. When changes occur in the project scope, project costs or deadlines, I meet with clients to discuss them properly and look for solutions together.
Risk Management and Change Management
Every project execution involves risks and changes, as a result of its progress. Therefore, it is essential to perform multiple actions to monitor project performance, responding to what happens. Proper management of potential risks that may arise, minimizing the likelihood of such events and reducing the impact of its appearance, provides an adequate fulfillment of the project objectives.
Collaboration in strategic planning
I actively collaborate with the CEOs of my organization, helping to determine our strategic planning as a company.
In my projects I try to work closely with my clients, to facilitate the important work of ensuring a proper change in their Information Systems. In almost all cases, we must go beyond technology and properly manage the impacts of Change (as a concept) in the business processes and people.
